While it has not officially closed doors, according to informed sources a lot of office furniture and other items have been /are being auctioned off. This is due to a number of personnel layoffs that have already occurred.

[10:39] <@Shinji Ikari> ♦ Under the terms of the agreement with Geneon, FUNimation Entertainment obtains the exclusive rights to the manufacturing, marketing, sales and distribution of a number of established Geneon titles. This includes Ergo Proxy, Hellsing Ultimate and Black Lagoon.
[10:40] <@Shinji Ikari> BLACK LAGOON and HELLSING ULTIMATE.
[10:40] <@Shinji Ikari> Considering how much those Black Lagoon DVDs are going now, that's a godsend.
[10:40] <@Shinji Ikari> ♦ Hellsing Ultimate, directed by Tomokazu Tokoro and produced by Satelight, apparently is among the first of these titles to be seeing mass distribution, although as to when has not been officially announced. Follow up releases include Black Lagoon Second Barrage, Karin, Kyo Kara Maoh Season 2, and Lyrical Nanoha.

[16:09] <@Shinji Ikari> Many moons ago, when Star Wars was just beginning, Marvel Comics published a six-part comic series that went along with it.
[16:09] <@Shinji Ikari> They honestly didn't have any idea how popular these books would be.
[16:09] <@Shinji Ikari> In fact, it ended up pretty much saving Marvel from bankruptcy in the 70's.
[16:10] <@Shinji Ikari> That's how good those books sold.
[16:10] <@Shinji Ikari> ANYWHO, it was expanded into an ongoing series with issue seven and was published for nearly a decade until sometime 1985 or 1986. Too lazy to look up the exact date.
[16:11] <@Shinji Ikari> Years later when what would eventually be called the Star Wars Expanded Universe was being created, a decision was made. The Marvel books wouldn't be canon.
[16:12] <@Shinji Ikari> Which was somewhat of a shame. Yeah, they had one or two REALLY goofy things. HALLO THERE, BIG GREEN RABBIT THAT MADE ONE OR TWO APPEARANCES AND THEN GEORGE LUCAS REQUESTED THAT THE CHARACTER VANISH AND NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN.

[16:15] <@Shinji Ikari> Stuff like BIG GREEN RABBIT would've been handled like this:

The bugs and their bug-ships seem perfectly content with property damage, striking terror into the hearts of people, and occasionally... taking them, after establishing a terrible presence.

Electricity is irregular. Food is irregular. School keeps going because the adults are desperately trying to make sure the kids don't know how bad things are.

[00:23] <Yaijinden> But kids are smarter than they give them credit for. Three of them, students at one of this quasirural-Indiana city's premiere Catholic school, are doing their best to cope until one day they stumble across a strange cavern.
